EXECUTIVES are downgrading from business class to no-frills travel in a move that will cut €1.7billion from business travel costs this year, a new report claims.

One in four frequent travellers is considering switching to budget airlines, according to a survey of 150 business men and women by research firm Saville Rossiter-Base.

A British Airways spokeswoman said: “There is a market for no-frills, short-haul travel and this has created a new opportunity for consumers which we welcome.
