Airbus aims to deliver 300 planes

European aircraft maker Airbus delivered 67 planes in the first quarter compared with 65 a year ago, but new orders slid, an Airbus spokeswoman said.

Airbus said it booked 12 new orders in the first three months of the year, down from 42 in the same period last year.

Airbus, which is 80% owned by Europe’s biggest aerospace firm EADS and 20% owned by Britain’s BAE Systems, has said it aims to deliver close to 300 planes this year and to book 250 orders.
