Green scheme expects record entries

ACCA Ireland’s 2003 Environmental Reporting Awards scheme for companies based in Ireland is expected to attract a record number of entries this year.

The objective of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants Environmental Reporting Awards scheme is to identify and reward innovative attempts to communicate corporate environmental performance, but not to report on good performance itself.

The 2002 awards attracted considerable interest from the business community. Last year’s winner of the award for the Best Environmental Report was the Musgrave Group, Ireland’s largest food and grocery distributor.
