Leather shoe import duties warning

RETAIL IRELAND, the IBEC group which represents the retail sector, said yesterday the EU interim anti-dumping duties on leather shoe imports from China and Vietnam, which start today, will cost Ireland €7 million per year.

Director of Retail Ireland, Torlach Denihan said it was bad for Irish consumers and damaging to both the retail sector and the wider economy.
