British economy growth slows

The British economy grew at the slowest pace in one-and-a-half years in the third quarter as higher borrowing costs and record oil prices prompted a decline in industrial production.

Real GDP rose 0.4% from the previous three months, compared with 0.9% in the April-June period. Annual growth slowed to 3% from 3.6%.
