RISING oil prices have started to hurt the recovery in exports, the Irish Exporters’ Association (IEA) said yesterday.

Chief executive John Whelan said the weakening of the euro against the dollar was “a very welcome boost” for exporters that helped to offset oil price hikes.

“Irish exporters continue to struggle to get market growth,” he said.
