Upbeat Elan fuels market advance

THE ISEQ index climbed again yesterday mirroring the positive sentiment across European Exchanges. The Dublin market closed up 14.93 points at 6755.76.

Pharmaceutical company Elan surged forward rising €1.20 to finish at €7.30.

The banking sector had a mixed day with AIB adding 17c to rest at €17.83. Bank of Ireland dropped 41c to €13.15 while Anglo Irish gained 4c to €11.20.
