BSkyB gets approach on F1

SATELLITE broadcaster BSkyB has been approached by a consortium that plans to make a bid for the Formula 1 motor racing business, a source familiar with the matter said yesterday.

The source added, however, that BSkyB had no immediate plans to get involved.

Several predators are stalking F1 which is 25% owned by the family trust of businessman and F1’s commercial chief, Bernie Ecclestone.
