Crosbie shares his experience

ALAN Crosbie, chief executive of Thomas Crosbie Holdings, the parent company of the Irish Examiner, spoke at a family business succession planning conference last Friday.

The conference was to address the issues concerning the lack of planning with regard to succession in family businesses in Ireland.

Mr Crosbie’s central theme was in succession and the importance of not letting family affairs effect the decision of who succeeds the running of the business and thus protecting the business from dilution.
