Record new orders for shipbuilder

China Shipbuilding Industry Corp, which controls the country’s biggest shipyard, received record new orders for ships in the first half of this year as an increase in global oil production spurred demand for tankers.

Customers put in orders for a total of 5.3 million dead weight tons of ships at China Shipbuilding Industry.
