THE Irish index closed down considerably amid concerns of terror attacks after explosions rocked the Turkish city of Istanbul.

Market decline continues

The ISEQ declined 34.53 points to finish the day at 4623.29. This news had a negative effect on stock markets worldwide.

Europe’s largest budget airline Ryanair fell for the fourth day in a row to finish 9c back at 6.23. Elsewhere, in the financials AIB closed 1c down at 12.24, while Bank of Ireland showed weakness to drop 5c at 10.30.
