THERE’S an old adage that says you cannot make an omelette without breaking eggs.

Signs point to lack of an efficient public transport system

Given the response to the traffic management changes in Dublin last Monday would suggest that some of us, at least, believe that you can improve the traffic problems without someone somewhere being inconvenienced.

Now that's not to suggest that what they've done in Dublin was the correct way to go or, indeed, the right way to go about it. However, they're making some attempt, which is a lot more than can be said about a lot of other areas.
