A FAIRLY lacklustre performance by the ISEQ yesterday saw the bourse drop 23.48 points to 5273.61.

The financial sector contributed to the lower levels, with evidence of the bigger banks levelling off after the market blitz during last week’s trading.

In light of this Irish Life & Permanent was the strongest runner among the financials on the day, rising 13c to €13.83. AIB were slightly stronger at €13.53, 1c better.
