Sound corporate governance ‘vital’

SOUND corporate governance is a fundamental step in boosting investor confidence in the EU, Internal Markets Commissioner Charlie McCreevy told a European Commission forum yesterday.

“Europe has a role to play,” he said. “That role is to co-ordinate member states’ efforts to improve corporate governance practices, through changes in their national company law.”
