Market continues to lose ground

SHARES in Dublin fell for the fourth consecutive day, with the ISEQ falling 33.09 points to close at 5929.48.

AIB dropped 1c to €16.25 while rival Bank of Ireland lost 10c to €12.07. In the second line, Anglo-Irish shed 15c to €9.30 while in more positive news, Irish Life and Permanent responded to an upgrade from a leading British broker, rising 10c to €13.60.

In construction, heavyweight CRH gained 5c to €19.65 while Kingspan and Grafton both eased back, down 8c and 10c respectively. McInerney closed unchanged at €8.00.
