Geopolitical fears shake markets

European markets moved sharply lower yesterday after a missile launch

The ISEQ index slipped 2.67% to close at 3789.79.

Financial stocks followed their British counterparts lower, dragged down by concerns over a possible dividend cut by British insurer Prudential. AIB fell 3.66% to 11.85 while Bank of Ireland and Irish Life & Permanent slipped over 2.5% to 9.76 and 9.35 respectively. Kerry Group and Paddy Power both released strong full-year results.
