Factory gate prices rise 1.1%

FACTORY gate prices rose by 1.1% in November to give an annual increase of 3.5%, the Central Statistics Office said yesterday.

The CSO said the most significant monthly changes in November were increases in basic chemicals (+1.7%), other food products (+1.9%), meat and meat products (+2.6% and radio, television and communication equipment (+1.6%).

On an annual basis, the most significant increases were in basic chemicals (+5.5%) and certain food products (+7.7%), while office machinery and computers fell 3.0%.
