Scrap below-cost selling ban, urges NCC

THE National Competitiveness Council has told the Government that scrapping the ban on below-cost selling would ease the pressure of the soaring cost of living.

Irish prices are the second highest in Europe, with the cost of living just behind that of Finland.

The NCC said prices must be reduced for consumers and businesses if the economy continues to grow.
