ISEQ Overall Index in negative mood

THE ISEQ Overall Index succumbed to the negative mood throughout Europe yesterday, shedding 43.32 points to 4589.66.

In the construction sector, CRH lost 50c to 16.12, while Kingspan eased 7c to 3.18, extending Tuesday’s post results profit-taking. Elsewhere, Ryanair fell 19c to 6.43 along with Independent News and Media, off 6c at 1.65.

In a mixed day for the financial sector, AIB and First Active closed the day in positive territory, adding 4c and 5c, respectively. Bank of Ireland slipped to 11c to 10.37; Anglo Irish Bank followed with a 3c fall to 9.17, while Irish Life & Permanent shed 2c to 11.48.
