WORLD markets are beginning to become immune to the threat of a war in Iraq, according to a top economist.

However, Friends First chief economist Jim Power said uncertainty about a war will remain a key feature of the market.

“There is a widely-held view that should the war actually start, it would prove short and successful, and that markets would rally once it commences,” Mr Power said.
