IRISH PRESS plc has reported a pre-tax loss of €306,000 for the year ending December 2004.

The former newspaper publisher, whose business now consists mainly of Dublin street directory Thom’s and shares in Tipperary radio station Tipp FM, blamed group overheads and a provision of over €200,000 relating to a goodwill write-off.
