Strong lending growth predicted

STRONG mortgage lending growth is set to boost the earnings of one of the country’s top financial services group in the current year.

In trading update yesterday, Irish Life & Permanent informed the market that lending will have jumped by 20% in the current year.

In particular Irish Life & Permanent has singled out mortgage lending, projected to grow from €4.9 billion to €6bn.
