Market picks up by week’s end

Despite a slow start to Friday’s trading, the Dublin market ended the week in positive territory.

Market picks up by week’s end

Generally, Irish shares followed the negative overnight trend in the US and London. The ISEQ did manage to nudge 7.35 points higher at 5376.09.

The financials were out of favour as Allied Irish Bank and Anglo fell to €12.40 and €12.80 respectively. Irish Life and Permanent eased 7c to €12.43 while Bank of Ireland was steady at €10.82.
