ISEQ boosted by strong US opening

A STRONG market opening in the US saw the European indices rally during afternoon trading.

It saw the Irish market rise for the fourth consecutive day, adding 38.11 points to 3948.14.

In the financial sector, the focus was on Allied Irish Bank ahead of the company's full-year results due out today. The stock rose 0.81% to 12.50 while Bank of Ireland, Anglo Irish Bank and Irish Life & Permanent also moved higher.
