IBEC wants tax bands indexed

IBEC BOSS Turlough O’Sullivan has called on the Government to index tax bands in the 2005 Budget and to provide better value for money to citizens.

The Irish Business and Employer Confederation also calls on the State not to take its foot off the pedal on infrastructure.

Much needed to be done to ensure we have the best roads in Europe as well as all other basic infrastructure required to ensure the economy can continue to compete and deliver wealth and jobs to the next generation, said Mr O’Sullivan. In its pre-Budget submission IBEC warned the Government to stay alert to the dangers facing the economy in an international environment that is becoming harder to survive in.
