Barry’s profits surge to €1.5m

CASH & Carry group Barry’s of Mallow has seen a huge surge in profits, its most recent accounts show.

The firm, based in Mallow, saw pre-tax profits for the year ending January 31, 2004, rise from €202,160 to €1.5 million, according to results just filed at the Companies Registration Office.

The increase in profits came despite fall in the company’s turnover from €185.5m to €182.6m.
