Increased mobile spending expected

OVER a quarter of Irish organisations expect their mobile telephone expenditure to increase this year, according to the most recent edition of IDC’s annual user survey, Telecoms Trends and Expenditure in Ireland.

Increased mobile spending expected

Despite this continued growth, this 28% constitutes only half the proportion that indicated increased spending in the previous year’s survey, and two out of three organisations now expect expenditure to stay the same. An imminent downturn is unlikely, but customers will expect more for their money from their mobile operators.

While still eager to invest in mobile technology, further IDC research maintains organisations are crying out for help with developing their technology strategy to support mobile employees.
