Heavyweights hit by profit-taking

THE Dublin market opened in negative territory and continued to struggle throughout the day shedding 40.99 points to close at 5645.74.

Heavyweights hit by profit-taking

The main heavyweight stocks were worst hit as holders opted to ditch their shares through profit taking.

Amongst the financials, Bank of Ireland was hit hardest losing 26c to €11.12. AIB went against the trend, adding 5c to €13.60. Anglo Irish shares traded solidly at €14.83, up 1c.
