IBOA vow to expose corruption in banks
Larry Broderick, general secretary of the Irish Banking Officials’ Association (IBOA), said investigations at some of the country’s top banks proved there was something rotten at the core of industry. He claimed the sector was too important socially and economically to allow the culture of cover- up and deceit to be left untouched.
“Not only were senior executives aware of serious wrongdoing but some, by their actions, have done serious damage to the international reputation of Irish banking,” Mr Broderick said.
