Projected shortfall will be much less than originally feared

THE projected tax shortfall this year will be much less than earlier feared.

This dramatic change in the Government’s fortunes will be confirmed by the Exchequer Returns for the 11 months to end November due later today.

They are expected to show revenues up significantly for the 11 month period.
