IAWS expects top first-half results

FOOD group IAWS is happy with recent progress and expects a satisfactory first half performance, shareholders at yesterday’s annual general meeting were told.

Former chief executive Philip Lynch, who now chairs IAWS, said the group continued to develop positively across its businesses, which include speciality bread and confectionery maker Cuisine de France and Roma pasta.

IAWS said its agribusiness operations performed well and would improve in the second half - in line with the seasonal nature of the business.
