Vodafone gets gift of the gab as Irish customers outspend their counterparts

IRISH customers of mobile phone giant Vodafone pay the highest monthly charges among its 171 million worldwide subscribers.

New figures from Vodafone, the world’s largest mobile network, show its two million Irish customers pay €53 a month on average. This compares to €37.20 a month on average in Britain and €24.40 a month in Germany.

Vodafone’s customers in Spain pay €37.70 a month and the average in the Netherlands is €36.60.
