IPSO issues alert to cardholders

THE Irish Payment Services Organisation (IPSO) has issued a fresh alert to plastic cardholders to use extra caution when using automated teller machines (ATMs).

The organisation said the incidence of “skimming“, which involves copying details from a card’s magnetic strip on to another card, had increased in recent weeks.
