THE Dublin market ended the day in negative territory, with the ISEQ finishing 52.16 points lower at 6215.68.

The financial sector gave up €164.20 points overall. AIB was down 30c to €16.85 while rival Bank of Ireland also dipped 12c to €12.30.

In the second line, Anglo Irish Bank slipped 20c while Irish Life and Permanent fell 10c to €13.50.
