Mounting waste problem threatens economy, says Bacon

THE mounting waste problem is so acute that it is threatening the economy, an economist has warned.

By 2003, there will be nowhere to store over one million tonnes of waste, according to Peter Bacon.

In a hard-hitting report, commissioned by Celtic Waste Limited, Mr Bacon said immediate Government action was needed to avert a waste management crisis.
