Home sales drop by 0.9%

HOME sales fell in July by 0.9%, while factory gate prices were down 1.5% from the previous month and were 3% lower year-on-year.

The latest figures for the Central Statistics Office (CSO) show June producer prices fell 1.0% month-on-month and were 1.3% down year-on-year. Manufacturing prices, an indication of pipeline inflation, fell by 1.5% in July from June, leading to a year-on-year fall of 3%. This compares with an annual drop of 1.3% in June.
