Ryanair debates scrapping service
The move was prompted by Cornwall County Council’s decision to apply a £5 charge on all passengers.
“This is a highly price sensitive market where the average fare is £25. This decision will damage Cornish tourism and business and make Cornwall the laughing stock of Europe,” the airline’s deputy chief executive Michael Cawley said.
Ryanair claims the flights deliver 200,000 visitors annually to Newquay.
