Market falls back on light trading

Dublin’s ISEQ index dropped back slightly yesterday, shedding 0.33%. At close of business the ISEQ stood at 7,1249, a fall of 23 points.

Market falls back on light trading

The three main financials (AIB, Bank of Ireland and Irish Life and Permanent) ended the day in negative territory, although Anglo Irish Bank had a slight gain. Irish Life and Permanent publishes a trading statement today.

Elsewhere, there were positive moves from ferry operator Irish Continental and housebuilder McInerney.
