SHARES in Dublin ended in positive territory for the third consecutive day yesterday, with the financials and construction stocks the main catalyst for the rise.

The ISEQ added 15.76 points to 6065.79.

The banks were stronger with the sector gaining 66.86 points overall, on moderate trading volumes. AIB gained 17c to €16.29, while rival Bank of Ireland remained steady at €12.45. In the second line, Anglo-Irish and Irish Life and Permanent both strengthened, advancing 12c and 8c respectively.
