Financials in favour as shares rally

WITH markets across Europe finishing the week in buoyant mood, shares in Dublin bounced back with the financials leading the charge. At the closing bell the ISEQ finished was 55.05 points higher at 4255.26.

Allied Irish Bank and Bank of Ireland finished higher with a 2.37% and 1.83% gain respectively. Anglo was 11c higher at €6.83 while Irish Life and Permanent fell 5c to €10.35.

Elsewhere CRH closed 36c firmer at €14.15 followed by Grafton with an 10c gain to €3.71. Ryanair added 3c to €6.08 despite dipping below €6.00 in earlier trading. Kerry Group retreated 6c while Arnotts was off 5c at €13.70.
