INDUSTRIAL production recovered strongly in the third quarter of 2005 suggesting the worst may be over for the sector.

Of particular note was the strong performance in “modern” companies consisting mainly of the multinational group’s located here.

The volume of production in all of Irish industry grew by 4.8% in Q3 relative to the second quarter of the year. However, for the year as a whole up to September 2005, the volume of production is relatively flat on the same period in 2004.
