DON’T write off the economy yet, even if business confidence has sunk to a 10-year low, according to the latest grim findings from employer body ISME.

Nearly 50% say the environment in Ireland is worse than it was 10 years ago before we got to the boom period of the economy.

It is not the kind of stuff to gladden the heart, and the warning of a further 20,000 job losses in 2003 adds to the unease.
