Barry’s announces €10m centre plan

Cash and carry and food distributor Barry’s of Mallow has announced plans for a €10 million investment in a 60,000 sq ft distribution centre that will create 75 jobs over the next three years.

Chief executive Jim Barry said the project was important for the company’s future development.

The first phase of the project will kick off in May and is due to be ready by October. The company already employs 200 people and has an annual turnover of €180 million.
