Pernod Ricard nets €169m profits

Drinks group Pernod Ricard, which owns Irish Distillers, has reported net profits of €169m for the first half of this year, up 4.7% on the same period last year.

Underlying sales were up 6% while underlying operating profits rose by 11%.

Jameson was the group’s strongest performer, recording volume growth of 12%.
