THE ISEQ index closed 30.95 points lower at 5370.32 yesterday.

ISEQ falls as profit taking hits banks

The two main banks fell to profit takers after Wednesday’s strong run. Allied Irish Bank slipped 31 cents to €12.57 while Bank of Ireland dropped 12 cents.

Elsewhere Irish Life & Permanent lost 18 cents to €13.80, however Anglo Irish Bank bucked the negative trend adding 34 cents to €13.34.
