Banks and construction stocks have been in the firing line, but some Irish companies, particularly in the food sector, are having an easier ride.

Glanbia is a case in point. The Kilkenny-based dairy group has seen its share price more than double over the past five years thanks to a determination by its senior executive team to give the group a firm focus on cheese production, dairy food ingredients and nutritional products for which the global market outlook is very positive.
