Wish List: A touch of Spring, clever colanders and dino duvets
chooses clever colanders, dino duvets and blooming brilliant vases this week.
All the spring-summer interiors pieces are appearing at the moment — very exciting for interiors nerds.
Monsoon has a beautiful collection, they’re only available online though, the stores in Ireland are still fashion only.
Check out this vintage wooden tray, €95, beautiful blue metal tray, €39, metallic fleck coaster, €7.75, and gold leaf trinket tray €28. The Monsoon HOME range is available here.

If you want a pop of colour in any room, throwing a cushion in can really shake things up. I like these funky, fun, Mexican fiesta style pom-pom cushions.
The round shape is a nice change, right? But there are more conventional options too for any squares out there. The cushions are €12 here.
The round one’s vital statistics are H:35cm x W:35cm x D:6cm.

The Drapery Shop, Emmet Place in Cork, is always worth stopping in for a little snoop — you’d never know what you might find in there. I love the My World collection they’re carrying, from Prestigious Textiles.
These Toucan Talk would be fab in a kids room. Imagine the stress of trying to stop them colouring it in though.
If your kids aren’t the savage-slash-artist type, this could be for you. I’m sticking with boring washable paint. Prices start at €25.16 per metre at The Drapery Shop here.

If you’re looking for a simple but stunning way of displaying individual blooms rather than a whole bunch, have a look at these rustic ash wood and glass test tubes.
They’re available with three or five tubes and in different wood finishes and they are handmade by Hannah Dowding for Made By Hand Online here. and the price tag is €44.50.

This is a cute combo, a fruit bowl-cum-colander by Achille Castiglioni for Alessi. €357 and available from Alessi stockists which includes Arnotts, Amara and Brown Thomas.

Continuing on my dino quest, I’ve found this scarily cool T-Rex duvet. It’s by Snurk and is €70. Due to the fact the dino-loving toddler spends more time in our bed than his own, I’m not going to splash out just yet, but if you’ve got a Stompasaurus in your house, this could be a good ploy to make bedtime more attractive. This single duvet set is available at Harvey Norman stores nationwide.

How adorable is this little Eggling? Plant everything from herbs to bulbs to a little orchid in here. It’s available here and it’s yours for €10.

Aldi’s homeware drop for spring-summer is all about natural fabrics and materials. I love the colourful botanics theme they have going on.
This reversible table runner is €6.99 and the napkins come in a set of four, for the same price. Make sure to measure your table first — the runner’s vital statistics are 35 x 200cm. These and more are set to hit stores nationwide next Thursday.
