'Unity can triumph over fear' - Lord Mayor highlights Tomás MacCurtain's courage in rallying call to fight Covid-19
The Lord Mayor of Cork has urged people to emulate the courage of Lord Mayor Tomás MacCurtain, murdered 100 years ago today, and to unite to defeat Covid-19.
In an inspirational open letter published on www.irishexaminer.com this morning, Cllr John Sheehan said MacCurtain embodied what Aristotle called the first virtue – courage.
