A man is due to appear in court today in connection with a fatal collision on the M50 last year.

A man is due to appear in court today in connection with a fatal collision on the M50 last year.

The man, who is in his 30s, will appear before a sitting of Blanchardstown District Court this morning. He is to be charged following a Garda investigation into a crash on November 11, 2015 on the M50 Dublin.

A woman seriously injured in the crash - 47-year-old Martina Loughlin from Edenderry, Co Offaly - died later in hospital.

The crash between two trucks and a car happened on the southbound carriageway of the M50 near junction 7 Lucan at approximately 5.30am on that morning.

The two male truck drivers, aged 33 and 47 were uninjured.
