Initial assessments on school structural issues to be complete by tomorrow

The Minister for Education says initial checks on all 42 buildings at the centre of the recent school safety alert will be completed by close of business tomorrow evening.

Initial assessments on schools with structural issues will be completed by Tuesday evening, education minister Joe McHugh said.

A total of 42 are being examined and preliminary indications suggest in many cases the structures are sound.
